Goal
[translated] Innovative environmental education is a basic prerequisite for successful and sustainable environmental work. The province of Lower Austria supports environmental organisations as well as schools, kindergartens and extracurricular educational institutions in their educational work through "Umwelt.Wissen". The wide range of offers of the network partners brings the three pillars of sustainability - ECOLOGY, ECONOMICS, SOCIETY - into the minds and hearts of Lower Austrians. People of all ages can thus rethink ingrained attitudes and behaviour patterns and find new lifestyles for a good life. Environment.knowledge thus means actively helping to create an environment worth living in - also for future generations.
