Goal
The aim is to inform our fishermen, the Authorities and the public of Cyprus about the issue of marine litter. The two organizations provided fishermen with training and special large durable bags to collect the trash caught in their nets and bring it ashore.
In addition, the action aims to record the types and quantities of garbage collected. These data are valuable data for scientific research and will be registered in the AKTIS Regional Database.
