Goal
The Electricity Saving Check is a joint charitable offer of the German Caritas Association and the Federal Association of Energy and Climate Protection Agencies in Germany (eaD). The offer pursues several goals in parallel. Firstly, the consumption of electricity and heating energy of low-income people is reduced and thus their cost burden is significantly reduced. At the same time, former long-term unemployed people are given the opportunity to re-enter working life in the primary labour market through their project work as electricity saving helpers.
