Goal
Right on the west edge of Amsterdam, we, de Stadsgroenteboeren are growing over 60 different vegetables and more than 15 herbs for the local community and the members of our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). Although the farm is quite small, we still manage to produce a considerable amount of food by using bio-intensive techniques. At the same time we are very conscious about keeping our soil fertile and healthy. We use compost, green manures and other methods inspired by nature to not only maintain, but actually improve the quality of our piece of land.
