Nature Interpretation Centre / Centro Interpretativo da Natureza
country
Portugal
Goal
"The main objective of the Center is to raise awareness of the preservation of the environment, the wealth of fauna and flora and the importance of water in preserving the environment and social well-being." This project has a strong educational and recreational component, allowing visitors to enjoy games and complementary activities that can awaken the creative spirit and knowledge of the participants. These activities are also aimed at a specific public, namely with hearing and visual difficulties, given that they contain a practical component capable of stimulating several senses. On the other hand, and connected to Adventure Sports and the Environment, some pedestrian paths will be signposted and periodically maintained in the surroundings of the building, and pedestrian orienteering activities will be developed in the adjacent forest. The possibility of young people having multimedia computers at their disposal to "discover" other cultures and to promote their knowledge through the New Information Technologies, together with the projection of environmental and cultural videos, will allow a deepening of knowledge and a greater awareness of young people.
