Goal
Miljøpunkt Østerbro is a local climate and environmental center that works to make our everyday life, city and district more sustainable. Miljøpunkt Østerbro is an independent foundation with a board of directors . We work closely with Østerbro Local Committee, which also supports the majority of the environment point's activities. Our activities must inspire and equip citizens, institutions and businesses to make sustainable choices and to find local solutions to the global climate and environmental challenges. Miljøpunkt Østerbro does a wide range of activities with a focus on topics such as the UN's global goals, urban nature, biodiversity, waste and resources, air pollution, climate adaptation, chickens in the city, cycling, ecology, food waste and plastic pollution. This can be in the form of guided tours, lectures, workshops, happenings, sparring meetings and teaching courses. In addition to its own activities, Miljøpunkt Østerbro helps to make visible sustainable initiatives in the district and supports other actors' initiatives for the environment. We help to build local, professional networks, which must ensure local involvement and influence in the district's development.
