Goal
This is a 15-month development project to boost environmental engagement and shape the direction of climate action in six Manchester neighbourhoods as the community-focused element of a wider programme of multi-level climate action across the city. Manchester Climate Change Agency will work with six local community groups and a range of citywide partners serving as a bridge to help grassroots community preferences needs and wants to feed into the work of strategic organisations that can make a real difference to people's lives on a large scale. The aim is to start Manchester residents on the journey to zero-carbon lifestyles by 2038 marking the first phase of a longer-term programme that will see a citywide climate action movement take root.
