Goal
The LIPOR (Intermunicipal Waste Management Service of Greater Porto) integrates a Circular Economy approach and has "developed an integrated management strategy based on four key components: Multimaterial Recovery, Organic Recovery, and Energy Recovery, supported by a Landfill Site to receive the waste from processes and from previously prepared waste.". It also develops other services and projects, including but not limited to preserving biodiversity and rewilding, promoting safe and sustainable food, among others. LIPOR has also been actively involved in local, regional, nacional and international initiatives that contribute to legislative, industry and business practices, as well as in Environmental Education in schools and communities.
