Goal
The Life BEWARE project (Better Water Management for Advancing Resilient Communities in Europe), co-funded by the European Union LIFE Programme aims to improve hydraulic safety and territorial resilience in the Altovicentino area, Vicenza Province (Italy). The main objective is to implement a strategy for adaptation to climate change and flood risk in urban and rural areas, through the active involvement of local communities. In fact, it promotes the adoption of sustainable interventions through a participatory approach that actively involves interested stakeholders, encouraging them to adopt actions to reduce flood damages caused by the heavy rains that increasingly occur in the territory. In this context an on demand online introductory training was developed for those interested in replicating the pilot interventions (Natural Water Retention Measures) implemented and tested by the LIFE BEWARE project. It is targeted specifically for Eu Municipalities, public technicians and local administrators, but it is available also for representatives of universities, CSOs, etc.
