Goal
The goal is to collect and make information available about unused real estate at city-level, against the backdrop of very tight real estate markets both for living and office spaces.

In vielen Städten suchen Menschen bezahlbare Wohnungen und Arbeitsräume. Gleichzeitig stehen unzählige Flächen leer - ob alt oder neu, ob Wohn- oder Gewerberäume, ob zentral oder ausserhalb gelegen, ob privat oder in städtischer Hand. Doch einen Überblick darüber gibt es nicht.
Die Lösung
Mit dem Leerstandsmelder können wir gemeinsam Informationen austauschen. Leerstände können auf der Leerstandskarte von allen NutzerInnen direkt und unkompliziert eingetragen werden.
Dadurch entsteht nach und nach ein kollektiver und frei zugänglicher Daten- und Raumpool, unabhängig von städtischen Informationskanälen. Darüber hinaus können registrierte NutzerInnen des Leerstandsmelders Infos zu den Leerstandsgebäuden und Ideen zum konstruktiven Umgang mit ihnen austauschen.")
