Name
Greening the Islands
country
Italy
Goal
We want islands to be a model for circular economies in harmony with nature. We promote synergies in the nexus between the three pillars of the green economy – energy, water and mobility. Over the years, we have developed a new “broad” concept of circular economy that extends to waste, agriculture and eco-tourism, investigating ways to test and replicate innovative projects and best practices. We work to disseminate knowledge and best practices so as to accelerate the sustainability and self-sufficiency of islands and remote locations, acting as a catalyst in relations between private and publicstakeholders.
