Goal
At our AGM in March 2019 a motion was passed to seek to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 in recognition of the climate emergency we face. Bradford on Avon Town Council and Wiltshire Council earlier that year acknowledged that there is a climate emergency and resolved to seek to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Our Aims: To raise awareness among all sections of the town and community area’s population about climate change and the importance of reducing our carbon emissions and living more sustainably To support members, the county, town and parish councils, local organisations and the wider population in efforts to reduce carbon emissions To promote a range of activities, mutual support, and meetings to inform and enthuse people To seek to influence decision makers in all sectors and at all levels to take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
