Goal
"Brama - Associação Vita Nativa and the Seixal Municipal Ecomuseum have been collaborating since July 2021 on the implementation of the Plan for the Enhancement of the Vale de Milhaços Gunpowder Factory (FPVM) which provides for environmental conservation and restoration measures on a site of municipal interest where industrial activity ceased in 2001" Brama has so far inventoried 507 species of fauna, flora and fungi in the FPVM and, in order to preserve them but also as a complement to the preservation of the building that tends to be used by the existing animals, it has been implementing measures that promote local biodiversity, such as the construction of ponds, the installation of nest boxes for birds and shelter boxes for bats and the control of invasive flora. This project relies on the regular participation of the community through environmental volunteering actions and free Environmental Education activities.
