Goal
[translated] The car fasting campaign is an initiative of the environmental officers of the Catholic and Protestant Churches in Austria, which calls on people to shape their own mobility behavior in the direction of sustainability in order to preserve a future worth living for future generations. The idea is to try out environmentally and health-friendly alternatives to driving during Lent (02.03. - 16.04.2022), i.e. not to drive at all or to drive significantly less and instead to use trains, buses, bicycles, feet, carpools, etc.
